Its July 1941, our evacuees prepare to leave the village school.
Reggie joins the scouts determined to be useful, and Lindy prepares for an entrance exam to a private school.
Despite these activities separating them their friendship remains strong, each helping the other in different ways.”
I wrote that on the invitations to the Book Launch to take place on Tuesday 5th March, 2024 at Medina Books, High Street, Cowes.
This is the third in the series and we see that Lindy and Reggie are growing up. They leave Little Bridge School, going to different secondary schools, Reggie becomes a scout as he wants to be useful to the war effort.
Their friendship is stronger than ever as they become embroiled in the bombing of Cowes and East Cowes on the 4th and 5th May 1942.
